Climate:

Sunshine and heat characterize the summers in Beijing, while the winters are cold and dry. Beijing is relatively dry, from July to September is the rainy season receiving most of the rain while the spring is relatively windy. Summers can get up to 35 degrees while winters can go as low as -10.

About The School

Our school is in the Central Business District, just steps away from the Beijing World Trade Center. Beijing, The atmosphere is also perfect for learning Mandarin Chinese and Chinese culture.

All of the teaching resources needed are provided, and the school is well equipped offering large classrooms along with the computer and internet resources needed for a suitable learning environment. There are plenty of restaurants, bookstores and bars and the Beijing school is about a 15-minute cab ride to the Sanlitun Bar Area, where the locals and foreigners go for a drink.

We can arrange Mandarin classes upon request; small classes or just one on one. These classes are very affordable and professionally run.

Optional extra: Mandarin Chinese Language Course

Should you want to learn some Mandarin Chinese during your time in China, you could attend a language program either before or after your TEFL course. This TEFL course/language program offers you the opportunity to become TEFL qualified with an internationally recognized TEFL certificate and immerse yourself in the local culture, improving your language skills.

Accommodation

There are a several accommodation options during your TEFL course in Beijing. All of the accommodations offered are clean, comfortable and well equipped.

The first is a standard local apartment. A single room is US$ 300. This would be in a furnished apartment with two or three bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom. You would need to purchase your own sheets, pillows and toiletries. The alternative apartment option is in a shared room, at US$ 200. Again, this is fully furnished, with kitchen and shared bathroom. Couples coming together and sharing an apartment would receive a 10% discount each on accommodations. You will need to purchase your own sheets, pillows and toiletries. The apartments are about 40 minutes from the school.

The recommended accommodation option for the course in Beijing is at Beijing Wangfujing International Hostel. There are many hostels in Beijing, but this one has one of the best ratings on www.hostelworld.com and is close to the school – only about 15 minutes by Subway Line 1.

The final Beijing TEFL course accommodation option is a homestay, at US$ 450. You can live with a Chinese family and learn the local culture and language. This option does not include meals, and needs to be arranged at least one month in advance.
