In this Unit , I learnt receptive skills includes reading & listening , and productive skills includes speaking and writing . They are all equally important. The reasons and motives for reading and listening can be devided into two parts : for a purpose or for entertainment. And we have different skills of reading and listening , such as predictive skills, scanning , skimming , searching for detailed information and deduction from context . As a teacher , we we teach a language , we should select the text carefully and it is necessary to pre-teach the vocabularies .We should choose the topics that most of the students are interested in . We can also try to create interest , so that students can be more engaged in the topic.
