Teachers play an important role in fostering the intellectual and social development of children during their formative years. Teachers act as facilitators or coaches, using classroom presentations or individual instructions to help students learn and apply concepts in subjects. They prepare an environment meant to facilitate children independence and ability to freely select work that they find appealing, selecting activities that will appeal to their interests and keeping the environment in perfect condition, adding to it and removing material as needed. Beyond that, teachers serve many other roles in the classroom. Teachers set the tone of their classrooms, build a warm environment, mentor and nurture students, become role models, and listen and look for signs of trouble. The most common role a teacher plays in the classroom is to teach knowledge to children. A good teacher helps students to become good people in the society and good citizens of their countries. Teachers know that students are the future of any nation. So the future development of any nation's in the hands of teachers. The job of a teacher should never be taken lightly as everyone who's born looks towards someone to guide them through life the best way possible, these are known as teachers. Great teachers are accessible, enthusiastic and caring. Teachers with these qualifications are known to stay after school and make themselves available to students and parents who need them. Teachers have a lot of strengths and weaknesses as they are also human. A lot of teachers find difficulties in creativity for their students to make the lesson more appealing and interesting. Humor is known to be a strength in many roles, that is not always the case in teaching as sometimes teachers find it difficult to have a sense of humor in the classroom as it does not denote professionalism or fear of getting sidetracked from the lesson plan. Apart from weaknesses, teachers become great based on their strengths. Most teachers find strength in their writing skills. They have a special gift of working under pressure, allowing them to almost never miss a deadline. However, being a great teacher is not only based on the strengths, weaknesses and executing lesson plans. In today's world, teaching is a multifaceted profession; teachers often carry the roles of a surrogate parent, class disciplinarian, mentor, counselor, bookkeeper, planner and many other related roles. The list is endless. In conclusion, i believe an ideal teacher really needs to motivate their students to work hard in class. An ideal teacher will always encourage students and inspire their students to do the right thing in life. He or she should make students feel real comfortable and confident in the classroom as possible. Furthermore it is very important that teachers is always there for their students. Teachers should always look out for their students and should treat their students as if there were their own child.
