The teacher is the one who is supposed to inspire students and thus should create the need and desire, in the students, to communicate. Therefore, we have different accuracy and fluency activities that help students get engaged in the lessons. Accuracy activities focus on correct language production. However, fluency activities allow students to be creative and they are free to experiment with language. Accuracy activity encompasses ''drilling'', for example. This activity is controlled by the teacher. On the other hand, ''debates'' belong to fluency based activities as they the scenario is created by the teacher and yet the content of the language isn't.
