In this unit, we learn the teaching pronunciation and phonology. We learn intonation and stress of phonetics. The intonation is generally considered to be variation in volume and pitch in a whole sentence, whereas stress is more concerned with individual words. We learn the techniques for indicating and teaching intonation and stress. We learn the stress on first, last, penultimate, ante-penultimate syllable and compound words. We also learn the manner of articulation which is including plosive, fricative, nasal, lateral, affricate and approximant. Finally, we learn pronunciation.
