In the unit of phonology, the study of sounds is presented through different categories. There are phonemes, the way the mouth is formed to say specific sounds, the stress of syllables, and additional variables that are used within the all languages. Through this unit, I feel I have learned how to appropriately teach students proper (or Standard American English) in pronunciation, intonation, and stressing of syllables.
