Pronunciation is probably the most neglected aspect in English language teaching. From my point of view, this is because the effect of teaching pronunciation is difficult to be examined and evaluated. Until the day a student goes for a admission interview or job interview, there is no exam grading the pronunciation of his English. Therefore, the students rarely care about the pronunciation study, and accordingly most teachers don't make effort on it either. However, when the students start to speak to native English speakers, they gonna find their pronunciation incorrect, but then it is too late.
