English has some very complicated ways of expressing what is or might happen in the future. I noticed though that many of these future tenses overlap in their core meaning. If I know that I will go to the mall tomorrow, and I could also say that I am going to the mall tomorrow, or I could say that I will be at the mall tomorrow, I will have arrived at the mall by this time tomorrow etc. It's all the same core meaning, but phrased differently. I feel like many of these future tenses could be saved until a later part of the course for students to learn, going to and future simple would actually be able to express quite a lot.
