As English is an official language in Canada, the majority of English teaching positions are taken by Canadians. However, if you have a strong desire to work in the country there are jobs to be found. Citizens of other Commonwealth countries in particular might be able to land a position in one of the big cities, such as Toronto, Ottawa, or Vancouver.
