I have learnt the terminology to describe the stages of language learning and the fact that there are two naming systems used. This unit has also helped me to reflect on my own learning style as a student, and how my experiences as a student can transfer over to help me as a teacher, incorporating what has been written about how to motivate the class, and how I was motivated by teachers in my past. It has been a great introduction to assert the different roles of the teacher, and get me thinking of how important it is to balance all the roles as required.
