How long does a TEFL course take?
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. In this Unit, I learned about the receptive skills: Reading and listening. I learned about the different type of skills within reading and listening. They are Predictive skills, Scanning, Skimming, Detailed information and deduction from context. I would like a more thorough in-depth look into teaching scanning and skimming techniques as I find it very important for ESL learners especially Japanese native speakers as they tend to want to translate every single word into Japanese for understanding instead of just looking for the overall idea of an article.
