Why teach in Korea
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
The first unit talked about what it takes to be a good teacher and how you have to change roles for every type of setting so that the class can not only benefit from the teaching but also learn something. Learning about what makes a good student was also discussed and how have to resist the temptation to spoon feed or be too stiff with them, there is a time a place for everything. We discussed the different levels that a student might be in when learning English and how we can adapt our style of teaching to those different types of students/learners.
