I have experience teaching in a classroom, so I could relate to a lot of this lesson. When I first began teaching I spent a lot of time writing on the board and standing at the front of the room thinking it was necessary to be in control and be teaching all the time. After a couple of weeks, I decided to add more group work and more pairs activity and I could see the class was more engaged and liked getting to know each other. That really changed the way I taught and now I do only a little lecture and a lot of activity. This lesson gave me even more ideas.
