In this unit we studied the three main components of teaching a new language: vocabulary, grammar and functions. These three aspects are different, and the way to teach them and practice them is not the same. Vocabulary focus on learn and memorize new words, grammar focus on how the words are connected, and function focus on some expressions needed to interact with others. But the main point is: students need to learn all these three aspects in a balanced way, and according to their level and aspirations. As teachers, is our rol to find the best way to do that.
