Picking classroom material can be difficult, if, as this lesson mentioned, the teacher is allowed to have any say at all. But, should that opportunity arise, there were many good points listed as a starting place for a new teacher to use in evaluating books and materials. One hard thing about finding extra source material is the financial part. Not all teachers have print budgets, etc. to help as they supplement their lessons. A lot of that can be done on the board or with the students' own paper, but it does take some thought to figure out how to transition an activity.
