Covering the different types, uses, and frequency of tests and assessments this unit has made a strong case for testing students for multiple reasons. I have learnt the importance of diagnostic and placement testing in order to place students in groups of similar skill level so as to not put beginners into a class which will be teaching advanced level English and vice versa. It is important to always be assessing students by monitoring and or testing to keep track of progress, strong, and weaker areas of the groups English for the future lessons to be planned accordingly.
