Unit 3 explores ways you could develop a course for young learners (syllabus). The unit describes the different levels which have been divided into a five-level scale. The levels are starter, elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate and upper-intermediate. It also, recommends carrying out a needs analysis to get an idea as to what the students will use English for and what they feel would be the most beneficial areas for them to study. Preparing a syllabus seemed complicated, but with the sample provided in the unit, helped to ease my fear. Overall, the unit is very informative.
