Speaking and Writing are productive skills and though different in some ways, their purpose is to communicate. Of the two, writing is the more neglected skill in TEFL as its perceived by many teachers as quiet time. Its thus often relegated to homework. Most students also focus more on their speaking skills and find writing difficult. This is because writing requires a greater degree of accuracy, whereas speaking requires fluency. In this unit, i have learnt many ideas as to how i can create and engage students in good, interactive speaking and writing activities.
