What are The Roles of Parents in their Children’s Education?
According to Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. As parents what is our role for our children to be educated? How would we reach out to us and explain to them the importance of education? How would we encourage them to pursue their dreams of graduating college despite the struggles that arise? How we would inspire them with Nelson Mandela’s quote “Education is the great engine of personal development. It is through education that the daughter of a peasant can become a doctor, that the son of a mineworker can become the head of the mine that a child of farm workers can become the president of a great nation. It is what we make out of what we have, not what we are given, that separates one person from another.”

Giving
As a parent, it is our responsibility to give our children the best of everything in this world but at the same time, it is our responsibility to let them see the world. The world which is very competitive and the biggest step to keep track of the race is to have an education. An education where it is globally competitive just like learning English.

Choosing the right institution
As a parent, it is our role to let them enroll in schools where we think that will give them the standard of education that they deserve. It does not need to be very expensive but as long as it will make our children competitive not just in the community but globally.
Financial support
Giving our children the financial support is not the only way to show them our support but being there on every milestone they achieve is a very important thing. Not only their achievements but as well as the failures that they will encounter. Communication between parents and teachers is one way for parents to monitor the improvement of the children as well as their behavior inside the classroom.

The moral support
The moral support and love of parents to their children would be the foundation of the students to face the world. Parents would be the first and will be forever teachers of the children. They mold their behavior to enable them to communicate and face the world.
Checking progress
During the times that the students are already in school, it is the role of the parents to check on the progress and the actions of their children in school no matter how busy they will become. Some parents forget to check on the progress of their children because of a hectic schedule of work. Praising even their smallest achievement would be the best thing we will do for our children.

In conclusion, parents play a major role in the development and success of their children because of their connection to each other. As parents, we should let our children feel security. We set their wings free by supporting their endeavors but as well we should let our children know always that they will have our back when they fail in the decisions and ambitions they will decide on.
