When choosing the right TEFL course to suit your future plans, it is important to understand the different levels of study involved so you are able to pick the right option that provides the qualifications you really need. While a level 3 course can be completed quite quickly and at a very affordable price, it might not give you the level of qualification that employers are looking for in your chosen destination. Equally, if you plan to volunteer as a teacher or work as a teaching assistant, a level 8 Master’s degree in TEFL will involve a bit more time, effort, and money than you really need to be investing.

What is a level 7 TEFL qualification?
At ITTT we have a course-level framework that has been designed to make it easy for our trainees to compare our different course options and choose the right one to suit their current and future plans. Our framework runs from level 3 to level 7 and should include the right type of course to appeal to everyone, no matter where you want your teaching career to take you. We have only one option at level 7, which is the top rated course we offer, and this is seen as the equivalent to an undergraduate or bachelor's degree. If you choose our 550-hour Expert Package you will receive no less than six separate elements that when added together should provide the most comprehensive start to a teaching career possible.
For full details on our 550-hour Expert Package, take a look at our Course Bundles Page.
What do you get with the 550-hour Expert Package?
As mentioned, our 550-hour Expert Package is the highest level course we currently offer. It starts off with the 120-hour TEFL certification course which will give you the foundation you need to complete all the remaining courses. Once complete, you can then work through the other courses in any order you see fit. These courses include the 50-hour course in teaching English to young learners (CTEYL), the 50-hour course in teaching business English (CTBE), the 50-hour course in teaching English online (CTEO), and the 250-hour Diploma in TESOL. The final part of the package is an optional teaching practice component that you can choose to complete in a location that suits you.
Who is eligible for a level 7 TEFL course?
Although this is our highest level course, it is still open to anyone who has a good understanding of the English language. Native speakers and non-native speakers with a solid grasp of both written and spoken English are all welcome to join this course and to take advantage of the large number of vacant teaching positions that can be found in countries all over the world. At ITTT we aim to match your ambitions by providing all the qualifications you need, no matter what you have planned for the coming months and years.
