Even though both lessons seemed to be a bit dull from my point of view, the second lesson was way better than the first one. The teacher enters the classroom by introducing himself. This is the way he breaks the ice. Then he goes on by asking students' names. Moreover, an atmosphere of trust and comfort has been created. The teacher proceeds with grammar activity by eliciting students answers and by praising them. The second lesson was more effective due to the given clearer instructions. Students felt comfortable and thus took part in all the activities without hesitation. There was no confusion. In order to improve the second lesson, I would use more teaching aids, mime, speak even slower and play more games.
