After doing some research as well as reading some articles, in my opinion, we can follow these steps to learn English grammar: Step 1: Learn the parts of speech Every single word can be categorized into one of eight word groups, or parts or parts of speech, including: - Nouns - Pronouns - Verbs - Adjectives - Adverbs - Prepositions - Conjunctions - Interjections Step 2: Learn tenses All complete sentences contain a subject and a verb. It is expressed by different tenses. We need to find out and understand clearly 12 basic stences Step 3: Learn phrases There are many different kinds of phrases. That forces you to remember by yourself. We should them in different contexts to memorize more effectively. Step 4: Learn clauses All clauses include a subject, a verb and an object. Some clauses can stand alone (independent clause) and some can not (dependent clause) Step 5: Learn irregular cases In each grammar rule, there will be a few irregular cases. Noting this also helps us have an eye more detailed to grammar knowledge. Step 6: Practice makes perfect Doing exercises to drill and review the grammar part usually will enhance your knowledge. It leads to your fast progression. Learning grammar effectively also require the teacher’s methods.
