This lesson reinforces how important teacher attitude is. Above all, the teacher needs to be patient. The teacher in the first lesson makes mistakes, which happens to everyone. But his reaction is unacceptable. When the students misunderstand or are confused, he becomes frustrated and angry, repeating the same directions louder. In contrast, in the second lesson, he mostly avoids these errors speaking slowly and concisely the first time, but when there are mistakes, he gently corrects them, using different and easier language. He also laughs off mistakes in a positive way, whereas in the first lesson he shames the students who make mistakes or don't understand in front of their peers. In these two videos I saw models for poor and effective teaching, stressing the importance of a patient and warm teacher.
