In this lesson I learned about how receptive skills work. How diffferent ways of reading affect the way we understand things. there are various ways of understand the writing in English. it is not always translated into its literal meaning so we as teacher must be careful how we introduce these words and sentences to our students. The authentic words will confuse them if i do not pre-teach the words in that will be used in the lesson to them. It is easier to teach the students un-authentic vocabulary for easier comprehension. To gain the interest of the students we must find out what is their interests and give them a vast options that will motivate them and help them engage to participate. This is very important before beginning the lesson so i can are sure they are interested and are willing to learn. Once i know that i will be able to practice different skills and task with the students.
