Having read through this very unit, one can't deny the fact that the ultimate goal of language is communication and the aim of speaking a language is to promote communicative efficiency. The latter should consider working with both accuracy and fluency equally. Nowadays speaking needs has affected the teaching (regarding societal, economic, and personal needs.) Having said that, many learners and teachers tend to spend more time and concentrate on speaking while devoting less time to work with writing. Mastery of all language skills has proven to be more effective and reliable. The biggest challenge in teaching speaking and writing is getting the students excited and motivated. Thus, activities that focus on these skills require a lot of creativity and preparation from the teacher. Sometimes, students need to be reminded that they need the language (asking questions such as do you need English to go on a holiday, to watch a movie or a Tv show?)
