Nowadays, it is not advocated that teachers in charge of the class. Being a classroom manager or controller largely increased teaching taking time, and deprived students’ motivation. This role should be minimized in a successful class. Indeed it is necessary to organize the class well, for example organizing activities, bringing activities to the end and organizing feedback as an organizer. More and more interesting and helpful roles are played by a teacher. Sometimes teacher may want to participate the lesson as a student. As a participant, teacher could increase active inside and encourage more creativities of students. But we can’t dominate the class and decrease the student talking time. At much time, the teacher is the language resource and facilitator for students for better lesson performance, playing as this role means helpful and available when they meet any troubles, but it doesn’t mean teachers should spoon-feed. We should also keep learning in life-time, because we are always models for students. Sometimes, in the lesson student would have some creative question and the answer is beyond my knowledge. I felt awkward in the beginning of my teacher career, but now I feel more comfortable to discuss and find out answers along with students. That’s more interesting and better for the class rapport. At most of time, teachers are playing the role as a promoter. sometimes students lose the clue of what to say or lack of ideas or a word to continue. Encouragement is always considered in the first step instead of taking initiative away from the student. it’s good for students to be independent and confident, if teachers helped to work out everything, students may find out they didn’t learn anything to solve problems by themselves. At the same time, we should always promote students use English and not their native language. As teachers we should know more about students by observing and monitoring in the class effectively. teachers can gain information about both the process of the activity and students performance through this process. It’s important to maintain a distance from the students so as to not distract them. Taking notes is also necessary for next step — correction for students and improvement for the lesson plan. For another important role, we are accessors. When I’m teaching many adults leaners love to listen to teacher finding out their mistakes and get corrected. not only feedback in details, general evaluating and grading is also necessary. As an accessor, teachers should be sensitive to their reactions and provide corresponding support. Using customized method to give feedback to different students according to their personalities. In want classes, I gave the whole class some feedback and, but sometimes I also take care of individuals for better effects. It always being stressed we should treat each student equally and fairly in both time and attention, no one should be ignored. Sometimes, it’s vitally to imply more personal care to individuals when they are working on their own or when they are working in pairs or groups, we could stop them and give individual feedback and encouragement. A teacher should really love teaching which lead to a lively and entertaining class, also love makes a teacher patient. Gaining much subject knowledge is not enough for being a good teacher, we should able to have a good rapport and interactions with the class. Various well-designed activities could help for involving the whole class throughout the class. Not only teaching, knowing students’ weakness and giving corrections at a proper way is also another task for being a good teacher, but certainly it based on without discouraging students. Teacher is a mixture of different roles, those roles are aiming for better teaching results and helping students become a better and more confident person, which is great and irreplaceable.
