Teach English in Longnan Zhen - Ganzhou Shi
The future tense is one of the most complex areas of English language and Unit 8 provides the various future tenses, forms and usage. The future simple ( I shall/will ,you will ,he/she/it will, we shall/will, they will +verb ) for the affirmative form , ( I will not /shall, you will not etc ) for negative and ( shall/will I ? will you ? etc ) for question form. Some contractions ( I`ll,you`ll,shan`t etc ). I learnt that future simple tense can be used to talk about future facts and certainties promises, predictions (based on no present evidence, as opposed to to "going to"), assumptions and speculations, threats etc .Worth noting that Shall is frequently used in making suggestions, invitations etc and more formal in affirmative sentences while "will" generally expresses a stronger intentions, coercion, or determination than shall. The future continuous (subject +will+be+verb +ing (present participle). It can be used to say that something is in progress at a particular time in the future, to "predict the present 'to say what we think or guess might be happening etc .In addition, the future perfect (will+ have +past participle) and is used to say that something will have been done, completed or achieved by a certain time in the future. Also the future perfect continuous tense (will have +been+verb+ing) and used to say how long something will have continued at a certain time. Others include "be going +infinitive (going to "future)formed by ( verb "to be" in the present +going to +base form of verb )and it usages (talk about intentions , predictions based on present evidence ,plans (decisions made before speaking ) etc .More teaching ideas and examples in this unit will help a lot when teaching future tenses . 9. Planning a lesson is very essential for a teacher because it acts like an aid to planning, a working document (a lesson plan helps you to keep the target and gives you something to refer to during lessons) ,as A record (what a class done and which materials has been used)etc . Thus in this unit I have learnt that a lesson plan should have the following basic principles : keep it simple ,structure it and maintain the same structure ,keep it flexible and open to adaptation etc .More so , A good lesson should have the following :learner objectives ,personal aims ,language points, teaching aids ,procedures , timing ,phase ,interaction , class level etc .A good teacher striving to improve his or her skills will monitor his or her lessons , therefore , making the class more enjoyable .so , a teacher can evaluate his or herself taking notes of what when wrong and well .Also , flexibility ,goals ,revision , variety and balance are a number of special issues that we must consider when planning a sequence of lessons .
