The future tense is one of the trickiest tenses of the English language. The future simple can be used for future happenings, certainties, predictions, promises, threats and actions that happen repeatedly and will probably happen again. Future continuous is used to describe a future event and for predicting an event that will still be in progress in the future. Future perfect is used when describing an action that will be completed at a specific time in the future. Future perfect continuous describes an action that will still be in progress at a specific time in the future, where the action duration needs to be specified at that point in the future. “Going to” future is used to talk about future things we intend to do, plan or decided to do. Present simple used as a future tense happens when talking more formally, to mention timetables and times of events. Present Continuous used as a future tense occurs when talking about future happenings that are fixed, planned or definitely decided.
