As a professional educator, I think all classroom activities within the student's education should include their ideas. Including the student's will help the classroom atmosphere, run smoother within the classroom setting. The teacher's role, should accordingly; make sure every activity, will help each child meet their educational goals. My experience throughout my career is thinking outside the box when working with children. As the educator, you want every child to be part of their educational goals, by engaging them within them learning the material. The atmosphere by including the students makes them feel their ideas are just as important as the teacher’s ideas. Running the classroom on that philosophy within the classroom structure benefits everyone that's involved in that child reaching their educational goals. A teaching technique; that I have used is asking open ending questions, to the students, using this format; it provides the teacher a better understanding of the student’s knowledge. Making sure the activities are engaging so they will want to learn more about that topic. If the topic is not engaging, there might be issues within the classroom structure. If that classroom structure becomes hindered, it will affect the other students as well with them learning the material. I am also a firm believer; that educators should always keep educating themselves, by learning different teaching techniques that would benefit each child inside the classroom setting. I think a teacher should always be that motivating factor as well when teaching their students. I believe that teachers need to observe their students in that classroom setting, so they can get to know their students and their individuality. When a teacher steps outside the box and is open to new ideas; the students will have success inside the classroom along with reaching their goals as that student. Another factor with including the students is the educator can focus on the students that might have problems with learning the material. Working side by side with the students as I have within my career, I could focus more on the discrepancies with that one on one. The teacher’s job is to make sure that each child feels comfortable sharing their wants and needs for their education. The teacher expects that students will have their performance goals in what they want to achieve each day for themselves. Working side by side with the parents and making sure there is always a curriculum provided within the classroom setting, so the parents know what their child will learn every week. The educator has the responsibility of communicating with the parents when working with parents. Working with all these voices will provide an excellent educational system that will make sure that each child will eventually reach their educational goals for themselves as the future adult they will become one day.
