Something I learned from my initial training days in regard to teaching ESL is, model the behavior you want. In other words, teachers should demonstrate or model the activity, grammar, etc. that they hope to solicit from their students. Also, words I often live by are: what's on the head rolls down. In other words, you can tell a lot about a class, a company, an organization by the behavior of its leadership. If you have an unruly class, an undisciplined class, a fun class, a confused class, an uninterested class, or a positive class; chances are the teacher/s in charge of the class reflect that attitude.
