Unit 8 focuses on the future tense. The most common future tenses are the future simple, the future continuous, the future perfect, the future perfect continuous, the present simple, the present continuous, and be going + infinitive. The present continuous and be going + infinitive are the most frequently used. The unit looks at how to form each of the tenses and how to use them, as well as listing some of the common errors made by students. Finally, ideas for teaching the tenses are listed. Having completed the unit I feel I now have a much greater appreciation for knowing why we use the tenses in specific situations.
