Parts of speech are the basic type of words that English has. There are eight of them. They are called, nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, and prepositions/conjunctions. A few of these parts of speech are easy to remember- nouns, verbs, pronouns, and articles. Sometimes adjective and adverbs are little confusing for students to understand. Others like prepositions and conjunctions are a bit more difficult to identify. In English, parts of speech are essential to learn and teach grammar. If a teacher is well aware of them then he can teach English grammar with relief and without any stress.
