In this unit, I have learnt the types of productive skills: speaking and writing. I have gain ideas on speaking activities in classroom, as well as the reasons that could influence students into not speaking in class. Teacher must keep those points in mind and find ways to encourage students to do so. All students have a different standing point and teacher must find the most suitable way to explain and encourage the student. e.g. the only Asian student in class might feel lack of confidence and awkward in class, therefore, teacher might want him do pair work with someone who seems to be friendly and good in English.
