Teach English in DuguAn Zhen - Sanmenxia Shi

The tefl course has been a wonderful learning experience for me in many ways. Even though I have previous teaching experience (in the sciences) at the university level, the TEFL program has given me the opportunity to learn much about the unique challenges in teaching english to students who do not speak it as their first language. As well, I feel I now have a brand new appreciation of the various challenges that the ESL student faces in the classroom setting. Additionally, I feel much more prepared to teach to a variety of students, including beginners, intermediate students, advanced students, adults, or young learners. The lesson plan activities will be a great asset in helping me to better think through and prepare for each and every classroom exercise. Speaking of the lesson plan activities, I will definitely incorporate these into every single classroom session that I teach. I also definitely plan to utilize all of the excellent teaching ideas presented in the course, especially incorporating a variety of learning materials, factoring in the need to arrange the classroom setting for improved student learning opportunities, as well as being attuned to the needs of the students, along with how to maintain discipline in the classroom setting. In summary, I am thrilled with the learning opportunity that has been offered by the TEFL course. I know that without a doubt I would have been ill prepared to teach an english course to ESL students had I not taken the TEFL course. I am confident that I will refer back to my TEFL notes on a frequent basis as I start my teaching career as an ESL teacher. Thank you very much.
