This unit covered lesson planning. It detailed many reasons that a lesson plan was important. These reasons contained, but were not limited to: record keeping, aiding replacement/substitute teachers, and helping keep a teacher organized. While a lesson plan has no set form, it is important that it is consistent. It provided a useful lesson plan template that ensures the most important aspects of a lesson plan are included. The part of this unit I found most useful was the section on anticipating problems ahead of time, as well as the sections on teacher reflection. It is something that I may not have thought of were I not taking this course, but makes sense intuitively(with the latter serving the same purpose of these post-test reflections).
