Well, I found this unit extremely effective due to several reasons. First, I learned how a teacher’s attitude affect the students, lesson and the overall success of the class. It was demonstrated quite well in the two videos. In first lesson, the teacher had a negative attitude towards the students, so it badly affected the lesson as the students did not participated well. In the second lesson, the teacher put on a smile and had an encouraging attitude. As a result, they felt comfortable and participated actively. I also learned how important the engage phase is. The teacher started the study phase without an enage phase, so the students were confused. But he had a good engage phase in the second lesson; thefore, the students understood the grammar points easily. The other important thing I noticed was how the teacher checked the students’ work. In the first lesson, he did not write the answers on the board. Some students were probalby confused. He wrote the answers on the board in second lesson making sure everyone got the right answer.
