This unit gave a broad introduction to Phonology and pronounciation in English language. The definition and importance of Phonology, including stress, Rhythm and Intonation were covered.Teaching techniques were covered in some detail in the two long and informative videos. It was helpful to see the application of the theory in the classroom context. The Phonetic Alphabet was new to me, and most interesting. I understand how this is important in teaching pronounciation confidence.
