This unit talks about teaching phonetics and phonology. Before when I took a linguistics class, we spent a few weeks covering this very topic, because of how important it is. Many teachers do not spend enough time teaching this and it can hinder a students overall comprehension of a language. Without an understanding on intonation, students may also struggle to convey all of their emotions when speaking English.
