The focus of this unit was pronunciation and phonology. Phonology includes intonation, variation of volume and pitch throughout a sentence, and stress, where enphasis belongs. Stressing different words in a sentence can change the meaning. Pronunciation deals a lot with articulation, where and how sounds are produced with the mouth. There was also an explination of how the International Phonemic Alphabet is used.
