This unit went over how to teach receptive skills. These are reading and listening skills- there are many reasons to be listening to someone or reading something, but reading is often easier than listening because you only get one chance to process information when listening. These receptive skills are vital, and it's important that students have an understanding of the language, are interested in the material, different skills are taught through the lessons, the tasks are realistic for the students, and the lesson flows naturally. I learned how to do this through examples at the end as well as the information beforehand.
