This lesson explored lesson development. The use of authentic materials can make the lesson more interesting and the students can gain confidence as they interact with the language. Created materials allow the teacher to target specific vocabulary or skills. Teachers can create their own material using internet sources, pictures, or their own creativity. Teachers can also purchase resource books that have ready made created materials and ideas. New teachers often prefer to work from a leveled curriculum but these often require adaptation for the specific teaching situation. Lesson plans can also be created without the use of standardized curriculum.
