I dont understand the relevence of the phonetics section in this chapter. I understand that tacking sounds and identifying thier origens is important, but as for half a chapter in a program that focuses on teaching people how to teach and what is relevent for teaching English to non native speakers it seems out of place. As in not relevent to actually be tauht in a classroom setting.
