Wow! This lesson taught me so much. First, the international phonemic chart, was new to me. I am familiar with the American Phonemic sounds. It is what I use to teach young children and others who may have reading challenges. It was definitely a challenge in this lesson to learn how to use it. The second thing I learned was the parts of the mouth involved in annunciating words properly. The other thing I learned was the contrast of linked speech versus "lazy speech".
