This unit teaches us how to teach pronunciation and phonology. Starting by providing the definition of those concepts. While phonology is the study, science and classification of physical properties of sounds, intonation refers to the variation in volume and pitch in a whole sentence. The unit teaches about the different messages an intonation can carry. From expressing emotions to agreeing, disagreeing or questioning a statement. Something I have learned from this unit is the phonetic symbols. This is something I have had a hard time understanding, but this lesson help me clarify and understand the phonetic symbols.
