Summative Task You have now successfully completed all your course units and achieved an overall grade of over 75% on the progress tests, so you're nearly there! In order to complete all course components, you will need to devise and submit a summative task using the form below. You are welcome to choose from one of the topics listed below. Your summative task title should encourage you to answer a question based on the topic you choose. For example, taking the topic “Learning Grammar” you might use as a title “Why learning grammar is important” or “How different students learn grammar”. Alternatively, you might want to choose your own topic, having gained approval via email from [email protected]. The topic should have an EFL, working abroad or living abroad theme. Similarly, the title should encourage you to answer a question. The summative task is essentially an essay and should be written from a general perspective, or you and your teaching perceptions/experience. It should not be about the way you felt during your course or your course experience. The summative task should be between 500 and 1000 words. It should be clear and concise, relevant to the topic and professional in nature. This is a requirement of the course and must be of a satisfactory standard. The summative task should be original and must be your own work; content taken from elsewhere will not be accepted. If you use sources they should be referenced. If you have signed up for multiple courses with ITTT that have a summative task requirement, please note that you are only permitted to use any title once. Once you have submitted the summative task, it will be evaluated by one of our tutors who will let you know your result within two working days. If your summative task is satisfactory, you will have passed the course and you will be awarded your certificate. If this task is deemed unsatisfactory, you will be given two further opportunities to resubmit it. It may take some time to write your summative task in the field below, so if your internet connection isn't stable we would suggest working on the contents offline. Once you've finished, you should then copy and paste the contents into the online form and click the 'submit' button.
