I learned that the importance of teaching pronunciation isn’t so that students speak English perfectly. Rather, it’s so that they understand that pronunciation can change the meaning of a sentence and can be sure to communicate (and understand) spoken English more effectively. I learned about how the different sounds are made and the different parts of the mouth, which will help in describing how to form the mouth to make the sounds. I also learned of difference techniques and activities to teach.
