This unit covered phonetics and pronunciation. There was a great emphasis on how important (and difficult) pronunciation is for non-native speakers learning English. This unit was extremely informative as it included the phonetic alphabet. It also explained the difference between intonation and stress. I think it will be extremely useful as an EFL teacher, as intonation is so important for conveying meaning and intent even though most native English speakers take this facet of language for granted.
