This unit covers pronunciation and phonology, in other words, how to teach sounds to students. The best indication of the difficulty and fun of this aspect is using the phonetic alphabet. On one hand, it provides an unambiguous alphabet that both teacher and student can use to indicate how to pronounce a word. On the other hand, it helpfully shows what a tangled web pronunciation in English can be, with single letters corresponding to a variety of different phonemes.
