Teach English in ZhugAn Zhen - Xinyang Shi
I have gained much valuable information about teaching methodologies. -teaching to different levels of english students. - i have learned various teaching formats such as the boomerang, patchwork or the regular ESA format. -I have learned who to explain to the students various concepts of english grammar -I now know that it is very important to be able to evaluate the students needs in order to plan a good lesson., -The students will learn much more efficiently if they are interested in the topic, if they can relate to the content and also is it presented in a fun and dynamic way. -I have learned various tasks, activities and games which are great tools to motivate the student interest in learning. The point is that is the students are enjoying themselves through doing the activities, they are much more apt to process new knowledge and learn well. I have learned that it is important to prepare the lesson in advance and to use a variety of support such as images, photographs, video, audio recording, OHP, dictionary etc. I have learned about how the teacher should behave during the lesson towards the students. to explain various content from the english language including grammar, vocabulary. I have also learned about various forms of evaluation, how they should be performed, in which context and how frequently the students should be evaluated, or tested. How I will I put in action what I have learned: In order to apply all the things I have learned in this class; I will revise the 20 units of the course. I would make sure to prepare in advance my lessons before teaching it, in order to make sure to be well prepared. I would also document in point format what content that has been (teach) in every lesson in order to keep track of the evolution of the class and evaluate if I need to make changes and adaptations to the lessons. I would try to be very flexible and adapt myself the class dynamic, the needs and problems of the students without compromising the quality of the class. I will try to be attentive to each students equally, treating them with respect and calling them by their name and get to know them well so that I can better answer their questions and give them useful responses which they can apply and use. I will ask for feedback from the students, making sure that their opinion and thoughts are listened to and that they feel valued.
