The phonetic alphabet is very new to me as we didn't learn that in school as a first language student. Very interesting and helpful way to teach the different sounds in English. Also good to go through all the different noises where they come from and how they are made, as an example, when a student is struggling to say their "R"s I can ask them to try keep their tongue in the middle of their mouth and try again.
